In My Mailbox (4): Books I Bought This Week

In My Mailbox: What is it?
In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren. It's an opportunity to share the books we've bought or received in the last week!

I'm back with another mailbox... and it's worse than ever before. If this doesn't stop, Husbandman will stage an intervention... it may involve book-burning.

In my defence: I was given monies by family for Christmas... and spare monies equals BOOKS. And when Kmart and Target have the Vampire Academy books fr $11 each... it equals a shelf space problem. So, without further delay!

From left to right, then top to bottom:

  1. City Of Fallen Angels, Cassandra Clare
  2. Clockwork Prince, Cassandra Clare
  3. Last Sacrifice, Richelle Mead
  4. Spirit Bound, Richelle Mead
  5. Shadow Kiss, Richelle Mead
  6. Blood Promise, Richelle Mead
  7. Bloodlines, Richelle Mead
  8. Graveminder, Melissa Marr

What'd you bag this week? Share!

  2. I love buying books from Kmart and Big W, but I always end up buying a lot more than I planned to! Fabulous mailbox this week, Richelle Mead and Cassie Clare are two of my favourite authors!

  3. @Taneika: I've only read Vampire Academy, and everyone keeps telling me I need to read the rest, PLUS I really liked the sound of Bloodlines (even more so than the VA series), so decided to read the series so I could read Bloodlines :D

@Lux: Oh my goodness, YES! Kmart and Big W are both awesome and EVIL. I think Book Depository belongs in the basket as well :D

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Cassie Clare!

  4. Can you believe how much cheaper books are in Kmart and Target and Big W compared to the bookstores?? No wonder Borders went bust! I'm going to repeat what others have said to you and say that you NEED to read the rest of the VA series!

  5. Tsk Tsk Sarah! But as I'm sad, I converted $11 into pounds and it turns out around £7! Which is quite cheap! As I've probably told you before, the Mortal Instruments series is my absolute favourite. City of Fallen Angels' ending will break your heart as will Clockwork Prince's so look out for that.

Great haul this week and thanks so much for checking out my YouTube video :)

  6. Ahhhhhh, you have so many awesome books, Sarah!! I LOVE your new stash of Richelle Mead books (Isn't she just AMAZING?), and I seriously need to get my own copy of her books too! I only own Bloodlines right now, but I think that one's my favourite out of all of them! ;) And I'm mentally cheering about your CoFA and Clockwork Prince, too -- oh my gosh, they were both too awesome for words!!

Amazing mailbox this week, Sarah!! I really hope you love every single one of your books, and I can't wait to read your reviews! :) <3

  14. @Lan: I KNNOOOOOW! I feel awful about it... I'm all for supporting real bookstores, but when you buy as many books as we all do, it makes it prohibitively expensive :(

@Molly: Hehe! I know, I spent A LOT. But I *did* get given money for books, so I was really only obliging, right? :D SOOOOO excited for the 'new' Cassie Clare books!

@Mimi: SOOOOO excited to read these! I've still only read VA!
