Blogspiration (4): PERSIST

From Letters of Note

I'm lucky enough to work in a creative job. I love it. I tell people I get to play 'cut and paste' for a living. It's partially true, but it glosses over the fact, that sometimes? That creative spark? It isn't there. Most of the job is hard work. Well, it applies to lots of things. That review you're struggling to write? The short story? The novel? Don't be discouraged. PERSIST. Sometimes finding the right word is hard, but it's the hard things that are the most rewarding. I loved this letter. It's so true, and--for me--SO inspiring.

What's Blogspiration? Find out below the jump!

Blogspiration is a Brand Spankin' New weekly meme hosted by both GrowingUp YA and Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writers alike. 2. That was absolu-freakin' awesome!!! I'm a Disney/Pixar animation junkie and to read a funny letter from one of their artists really made my day! On a side note: I hated the movie UP with a passion when I first saw it, now, it's a sentimental favorite of mine - "Adventure is out there!" - words to live by....

    thank you!

    1. Eeee! I ADORE Pixar, and I adore UP!
OK, UP! is one of my absolute favorite Pixar films--I'm so glad you came to like it! The first time I saw it was at the drive-in with my husband, and I cried like a baby during the scene with his wife? Where it goes right from them meeting, through to... *runs away crying*
      <3 it :D

  3. I love this Sarah! :D
It's so cute and awesome and TRUE. I have writer's block more than I have creativity but it is ALWAYS just about getting through it. As long as you write or do SOMETHING, it'll all be worth it in the end.
    Lovely :D
If I find something inspirational this week, I'll be sure to join in!

  9. Great pick this week. Very inspirational and very accurate. Especially about hitting save. Lost half of a report I wrote for Uni last year because I didn't hit save. I was so annoyed at myself! But of course blamed word for not "auto saving" soon enough... hehe

  10. Oh my gosh, Sarah, where do you find these things? That letter was GORGEOUS. And not in the obvious overwhelming way but that subtle, inspiring, and just totally sweet way! I loved Pixar before but I just love them even more now! <3 (And that sketch of the little boy from Up just made my day LOL -- so darn cute!)

Looooooove your Blogspiration for the day, Sarah-bara!! I just saved it on my laptop for future inspiration too. ;) <3
