This week, my amazing... err... I was going to say my amazing co-host/Blogspirationeer-in-arms, but instead, I'm just going to say my amazing Kristin (I'm calling dibs on her) asked us all a question.
What is your favorite literary quote? Think about that ONE quote that speaks to your soul. The one you've considered tattooing onto your body or the one you've plastered all over the walls of your...um, heart? You have no idea how much I struggled with this. In fact, I've been mulling it over for days. Guys, I take the idea of tattoos seriously. They're permanent. They're awesome, but permanent. In fact, I've had dreams in the past of getting a tattoo only to see it in the mirror only to FREAK. OUT.
Truly? There are two things I've actually, truly, genuinely considered having tattoed on my person before. The first, and I've thought of this since I was 17 (that's a while), is this: "Faith, hope & love." It's from a book, I swear. Corinthians 13:13. The other, is this:
Just the one word. I don't need to tell you all how much I love Harry Potter, but this one moment is one of the most heartbreaking and moving for me. And the one simple word speaks to me on so many levels, in so many ways. Yes. I'm a hopeless romantic.
ANYWAY. Kristin mentioned 'tattoo'. I got hung up on it. MOVING ALONG. A few of my favorite quotes:
“I would always rather be happy than dignified.”I can't tell you how much I adore Jane Eyre. It defies explanation.
― Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre
'Love is a luxury.'
'No. Love is an element.'
An element. Like air to breathe. Earth to stand on.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Laini Taylor
“We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another.”
― Veronica Roth, Divergent
"Don't let the muggles get you down"Words to live your life by. And lastly:
"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."
