Blogspiration (54): Freedom, Books, Flowers and the Moon

Blogspiration is a weekly meme hosted by GrowingUp YA & Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers & writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation & just a little SOMETHING.

With freedom, books, flowers and the moon, who could not be happy? With freedom, books, flowers and the moon, who could not be happy?

Such a lovely sentiment. While, truly, I do believe it's a little too general a statement to give too much weight, but it's lovely all the same, no?

  4. Aw, this IS lovely. A great reminder to stop and be thankful and happy for the little things. :) Thanks Sarah!

  5. Don't really need flowers... but everything else, definitely!

  6. I love this quote from Mr. Wilde... he said such beautiful, thought-provoking and overallawesomesaucefilled things. Thank you for sharing- incrediby inspiring.

  7. Oscar Wilde always said the most amazing things!

Simplistic though it is, it reminds me of a warm summer's night and creates this fuzzy feeling in me and it just makes me happy :)

  8. Oh... just tried to link up but it's not there... is it just me or not working?

  9. Lovely. And as always, pretty and sharp graphic ♥ ♥

Also, Mr. Linky isn't working for me either..

  10. This is a beautiful quote! I love it. Thanks for sharing Sarah :)

  11. It's probably because the new WP has an issue with tags when you schedule a post. I'm sure Sarah will fix it when she has time :)

  12. Aww that is beautiful. I agree, it's probably not something to give too much weight to, but it is a lovely thought. Lovely choice of quote this week, Sarah!

  16. Kaina, thank you! ♥
It's a lot of fun finding those quotes. Kind of like I have to force myself to be inspired, even when I wouldn't otherwise feel like it ;D

  17. AMYYYYYY! *Huggles*
I am so sorry for the linky problem. This has happened the last few weeks and I've been trying to figure out why. I did some digging around and it's a problem with the latest version of WP stripping

  18. Seriously, I think he may be one of the most quoatable gentlemen of all time!

Thank you so much, Erin! ♥

  19. I think this quote summarising everything good and right and beautiful about the world. Put a book in my hand, give me a moon bright under to read under in a garden full of lilies and the freedom to tell anyone who interrupts my peace to F-off, and I'm the happiest person alive <3

  20. Thanks, Kristen! SUCH a lovely one, huh? :)

  21. *huggles* How have you been? It feels far to long since we tweetchatted. Don't worry, I thought it must have been the desktop I was on because I usually do it on my laptop. But we got there! That damn WP stripping tags *nods like i know what your talking about* mmhmm how nasty.

PS. LOVE your comment form thing, that you get emails when someone replies to your comment!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I've been GOOD! WHAT ABOUT YOU?
It does feel like FAR too long!

Bahaha! Uh, basically, Wordpress was stripping out the Linky code when I schedule posts ahead of time ^__^. Why didn't I just say that?

Oh my goodness. The comment form thing? It is seriously one of the main reasons I moved to Wordpress. Is that weird? :P

    ReplyDelete
  23. I've been good thank you! Prepare for an absolute invasion of tweets from me in your twitter feed. MUAHAHAHA.

Are you liking wordpress?? The idea of moving scares me but I
    LOVE this comment form.

Well now your talking words I understand :P

  24. ha! Well, I'm allergic to some of them, anyway (lillies and wattle both KILL me, even though they're two of my favorites), and I think a house with flowers is always a nicer house, but... well... FINE :P

  25. Great quote! Thanks for sharing and I love your idea of the Blogspiration meme!(:

  26. Cute. And all things I take very much for granted.
Story-that-kind-of-relates-which-I-can't-remember-if-I've-said-before: I have a number of diaries from when I was little, and in the one I wrote in at seven, there's a whole bunch of entries that begin, "Today was the best day of my life!" and you read on and discover that on this most glorious day I... went for a walk with my family and ate sausages and chips for dinner. That's IT. 0_0 Clearly I was a relentlessly cheerful seven-year-old. But isn't that the case with kids? Happiness is so much less complicated, and the past and the future doesn't press so on the present.
And then I grew up, and that was no longer the case. *sighs*

  27. Romi.
    OMG.
I have a new favorite word: overallawesomesaucefilled.

    HEHEHE. SERIOUSLY :D
He had this very special knack for saying the very important things in a way which... makes them so clear and funny and perfect all at once, huh? Thank youuuuu! ♥

  28. SERIOUSLY, JAZ. THE GUY WAS A GENIUS.
THIS: "It reminds me of a warm summer’s night and creates this fuzzy feeling in me and it just makes me happy."

    YES YES YES ♥

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ugh. Romi. I'm so sorry. Thank you so much for letting me know. Actually, EXTRA thank you for letting me know. Because you have pointed it out the last few weeks, I did a bit of investigating. It's something to do with the new version of Wordpress stripping out the Linky code when I schedule in advance. Apparently it's being fixed in the next version of WP, but UGH. IT IS A PAIN >:/

I'm going to try and figure out a way to fix this until then. It's so annoying :/

    ReplyDelete
  30. Faye, you brilliant thing. It's exactly that. I finally got my ass into gear and investigated it yesterday. It'll be fixed in the next version of WP, but it's pain in the meantime, esp. since I usually schedule Blogspiration posts because they go live at a time I'm rarely near a PC :/

    *huggles* I love your face.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Becca ♥
So sorry about the Linky. Faye is right -- it's a problem I'm having with WP and scheduling posts. It's up and fixed now (finally!) ♥

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thank you so much, Fayezer! LOVE YOOOOU ♥

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thanks so much, Sam! It's... yes :D ♥

  34. it is a very lovely sentiment but I need SUGAR too, Oscar Wilde.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think if food were included I would then be a happy camper. XD But, in any case, I love this quote nonetheless. ^^

    ReplyDelete
  36. That's fine- hopefully it's not something too major to fix. If it was me, it would be a problem that would probably never get fixed because I'm so BAD AT THAT STUFF. Seriously, it took me two hours to make my blog button, which wasn't even when I was procrastinating!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm glad to hear you like overallawesomesaucefilled- you now owe me about fifty thousand dollars because IT'S COPYWRITTEN. I COPYWROTE IT.

    COPYRIGHT.
    *Rubs fingers together*
    Easy money.
