About My Reviews:I believe it’s important my reviews are honest, and I endeavor to provide thoughtful, constructive reviews in a timely manner. If I do not like a book, I will say so, but I will talk about the book, and give an explanation as to what I did not like--I will never ever attack an author. As much as possible (as whether I like a book is subjective), I try to be objective.
- I WILL NOT review a book I did not finish.
- All my reviews use a 1 to 5 star system (including half stars). Read more about my rating system.
- I post my reviews here, at saz101, on Goodreads, and occasionally on Amazon.
I will happily accept:
- Finished Copies
ebooksI am not currently accepting eBooks, sorry!
Genres I Accept:Typically, I enjoy books with a romantic element, but this is by no means a necessity. I read and review within the following genres (both YA and Adult unless otherwise specified):
- Anything Young Adult
- Paranormal/Urban Fantasy
- Contemporary Fiction (YA only)
- Mysteries/Thrillers (YA only)
- Romance (Historical, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy or Contemporary)
I Won't Accept:For the purposes of this blog, I am not interested in:
- Non Fiction
- Literary Fiction
ARCs:I will try and read ARC’s in the month prior to their release. I would prefer 1-2 months’ notice be given from receipt of an ARC to publication/expected review date, to give me time to read, and provide a thoughtful review, but I'm flexible. I will never sell or discard an ARC.With pre-published titles, I'll generally post a review somewhere around 2 weeks prior to publication, but not earlier.
When reviewing pre-published books or newly published books, I'm careful not to include spoilers. There's a big difference between a spoiler and a teaser. The whole point of me reading an ARC is to help create buzz, and make people want to read--not ruin a fantastic story!
